Potential Cover?

So what do ya think? Too artsy looking? Maybe I should start breaking away from the semi-realistic look. There are just too many covers out there with serious expressions and sexy stock photos for faces. I mean, serious now. Do some REAL art!!! 

Then again, I know people can actually paint THAT good.... I'm not complaining.

It's been a while since I've done some art. I think I want to start playing around with some traditional now. Digital is fun, but I'd like to try something new. 

This is Shy from the Wisdom Novels series. Although it is a scene from book two, he wouldn't necessarily have green fire in his hand. Wonder what this would look like as a book cover for the next novel in the series?
